Sell life, property, casualty, health, automotive, or other types of insurance. May refer clients to independent brokers, work as independent broker, or be employed by an insurance company.

Experience
Previous work-related skill, knowledge, or experience is required for these occupations. For example, an electrician must have completed three or four years of apprenticeship or several years of vocational training, and often must have passed a licensing exam, in order to perform the job.

  • Explains necessary bookkeeping requirements for customer to implement and provide group insurance program.
  • Explains group insurance programs to promote sale of insurance plan.
  • Calls on policyholders to deliver and explain policy, to suggest additions or changes in insurance program, or to change beneficiaries.
