CAMPUS SUMMARY
Since 1938, Washington Bible College has provided quality, Christ-centered education from a conservative, evangelical perspective. The college is located on a 63-acre, wooded suburban campus in Lanham, Maryland, which is a short commute from our nation’s capital, and only 30 minutes from Baltimore and Annapolis.

Our purpose is to serve Christ and His church by providing undergraduate biblical and professional education that will equip men and women for Christian ministry worldwide. We also serve as a biblical and theological resource center for the equipping of Christian laypeople and for the continuing education of pastors, missionaries, and other Christian workers.

Bible-focused - Students come to WBC/CBS/EQUIP for primarily one reason: to immerse themselves in the Bible. Whether through ministry or the marketplace, they'll be equipped to find or fulfill God's calling on their lives.

Expert Faculty - WBC/CBS/EQUIP is committed to providing an academically thorough education taught by expert faculty and built on scriptural authority, spiritual formation, and Christian scholarship, leading students to make a difference in the lives of others.

Service-driven - WBC/CBS/EQUIP is a service-driven institution that provides opportunities for students to develop as servant leaders with a passion to serve in vocational service and lay ministry in the church, the community, and the world.

Culturally Diverse - The WBC/CBS/EQUIP community offers students a culturally diverse environment that provides the opportunity to cross boundaries and break down barriers to prepare students to serve a rapidly-changing multi-cultural society.

Ideally Located - The Washington, D.C. metropolitan area is ideally located, providing students access to a wide variety of service and internship opportunities, churches and ministry groups, and exposure to national politics, monuments and memorials, the arts, museums and galleries, parks, and a diverse array of shopping and dining options.

UNIQUE/SPECIAL PROGRAMS
WBC/CBS is professionally accredited by ABHE and ATS

Although the school is and has been accredited by the Association for Biblical Higher Education (ABHE) and the Association of Theological Schools (ATS), two highly respected organizations, MSCHE is a “regional accreditation” which represents the nation’s highest level of accreditation related to higher education from both a religious and secular perspective. Their primary mission is to ensure that institutions like ours provide the highest level of education possible for their students.

Other educational institutions, employers and funding agencies consider regional accreditation an important indication that graduates have received a high quality educational experience that equips them to serve with the highest level of competence and effectiveness. This accreditation will give our graduates one more means to allow God to use them wherever He directs.

A positive report from the Visiting Team of MSCHE

The MSCHE Visiting Team reviewed the school based on fourteen standards which must be met before any school can become accredited by MSCHE.

These included everything from the school’s mission and how it is “lived out” in our staff, students, and faculty, to our governance and planning process, admissions, quality of academic instruction, student services, adequacy of facilities, and resources.

In our final session with the Visiting Team, the chairman reported that WBC/CBS had met all fourteen standards. Those of us hearing the report were encouraged with the fact the Team recognized and validated our educational excellence. The final step in receiving MSCHE accreditation will come in mid-June when the entire commission makes their decision based on the Visiting Team’s report.
